In a period of unparalleled economic turbulence, it is the Auto industry that has been hard-hit and most severely impacted. The sector has been facing severe economic crisis over the last year with much of the sector struggling to avoid liquidation following the bankruptcies of Chrysler and GM.
The Detroit chapter of TiE, The Indus Entrepreneurs, is holding a panel discussion titled “Surviving Today's Automotive Industry: Challenges and Opportunities”, Tuesday, June 23rd at Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD) in Southfield, Michigan.
Michigan has a strong base of knowledge and infrastructure in manufacturing and has suffered because of the decline in the auto industry, particularly GM. The region's future success is directly related to its ability to transform automotive supplier firms and survive the transformation under the challenging conditions.
